Oil Rig Mechanical and Electrical Jobs
The following jobs are in charge of the repair and maintenance
of the diesel generators and mechanical operation used
aboard the offshore oil rig. Sometimes these staff may
be required to work a 12-hour shift and can be called
out on occasion. This line of work is ideal for someone
who has previous experience in mechanical and electrical
work. The salary ranges from £30,000 or US $45,500
for a motorman up to £47,000 or US $85,500 for the
chief electrician. This team organizes the repairs and
maintenance on the oil rig which can include changing
light bulbs to repairing the drill equipment.
